Terry believes that a successful therapeutic relationship involves two key elements. These are critical to understanding the family culture, and holding successful meetings:
- First: Each family is unique. Therefore its history and relationships must be thoroughly understood for advice to be helpful to the family.
- Second: A thorough grounding in child, adolescent, and young adult psychology so that developmental maturation for the coming generatons can take place in the context of marerial well-being.
Terry knows and understands the value of each family's story, and has personal experience growing up in the contest of means and prominence. He brings this expertise to each family. He takes the time to know each family member so the meetings yield successful results.
